Contemporary Plein Air
Working with oil paint, Johnny's 'Contemporary Plein Air' paintings are constructed with bold, energetic brush marks, using thick and thin layers of paint to create highly vibrant and exuberantly painted landscapes reminiscent of impressionism.. Like a documentary maker, Johnny takes viewers on his journey through the Australian landscape and terrain.
