JAPAN FOUNDATION GALLERY
The Japan Foundation Gallery is dedicated to showing artwork with a connection to Japan. Exhibitions range from traditional to contemporary art and artisanal work, including printmaking, dyeing, photography, painting, ceramics, installations and more. Exhibitions are often accompanied by events such as public talks, film screenings and workshops. This gallery is run by The Japan Foundation, Sydney.
Getting there:
Train: The closest stop is Central Station (10 minutes’ walk).
Bus: The closest stop is Railway Square (less than 5 minutes’ walk)
Tips:
Access Level 4 via the lifts.
Grab a bite before or after the exhibition and events at restaurants and shops which open until 8pm every day and are located within the same building as the gallery.
Accessibility:
Wheelchair accessible; induction loop available for talk events.
Gallery hours: Mon-Thurs: 10am-8pm; Fri: 10am-6pm; Select Sat: 10am-3pm; Closed Sundays & Public Holidays (Please check website for up-to-date schedule)
