KORBAN/FLAUBERT

Janos Korban and Stefanie Flaubert have reworked the wonderful old Sherman Gallery building in Hargrave Street as a sculpture studio. It's stunning double height spaces are particularly suited to show sculpture.

The ductility and lustre of metal are central to the development of KORBAN/FLAUBERT's forms. Their fascination with compression, tension and elasticity leads to sculpture with a sense of movement and contained energy.

The animal line is a central theme. Current work explores this in the Nude. The current exhibition shows a range of this work in progress: large wall works and sculpture.
