UNSW Galleries is a centre for contemporary art, design and curatorial practice, staging transformative exhibitions, events and public programs that foster new modes of interdisciplinary cultural production. A forum for the exchange of research and ideas, UNSW Galleries, works collaboratively with national and international partners, including with the University's own leading researchers and initiatives dedicated to exploring issues of global significance. Officially launched in 2014, UNSW Galleries builds on the legacy of the former Ivan Dougherty Gallery, which under the leadership of widely esteemed curator Nick Waterlow played an influential role in Australian and international contemporary art and culture.
